Specialist support from KS1 to KS5

Fourteen years of teaching have shaped a practical, collaborative approach for learners aged 5 to 18.

General SEN support

I provide specialised educational support across the key stages, shaped around each learner's needs.

Age and stages: Children and young people aged 5 to 18, from KS1 to KS5.
Learning differences: SpLD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, processing and memory issues, ADD, ADHD and autism.
Additional needs: Visual impairments, speech and language difficulties, emotional difficulties, Global Developmental Delay and Cerebral Palsy.
Core learning: Communication, phonics, reading, spelling, literacy and numeracy.
Subjects and study: English, Mathematics and Science, alongside revision planning, study skills and strategies for effective learning.

SEN teaching background

My 15 years of experience span different age groups, school settings and levels of need.

School settings: Primary and secondary education in mainstream and specialised institutions.
Specialist training: SEN approaches for dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and speech and language impairments.
Professional teamwork: Close collaboration with educational psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and other educational experts.

Parental engagement

Parental involvement is central to effective, joined-up support.

Open communication: Families are kept involved through clear, ongoing conversations.
Shared decisions: Planning is collaborative and shaped with parents.
Teaching quality: My teaching has been recognised as good or outstanding in various assessments.
